City Winery Napa Hosts Napa Crossroads Album Release Celebration

March 5, 2014, Napa, CA -­‐-­‐ On Monday, April 28, City Winery in Napa, CA, will host the official album release celebration for Napa Crossroads, a first-of-its-kind musical collaboration between five prestigious Napa Valley wineries -- Silver Oak Cellars, Far Niente, Pride Mountain Vineyards, Gargiulo Vineyards, and Casa Piena -- and David Pack, legendary producer, vocalist, and hit-maker (former singer-songwriter Ambrosia,) who conceived and produced the project.

As part of its commitment to support Napa Valley non profits, City Winery's hosting of the Napa Crossroads release celebration will support Arts Council Napa Valley and The Music Connection, helping keep music and arts alive in Napa Valley schools. The celebration includes a wine reception and silent auction, followed by a three-­‐ course dinner graciously provided by City Winery expertly paired with wines provided by the Napa Crossroads vintners. The evening culminates with a musical performance featuring David Pack with celebrity guests that include Alan Parsons, Jimmy Wayne, and Robert Schwartzman, all featured on the album, and the all-­‐ vintner led local Napa band, The Silverado Pickups.

Napa Crossroads is a five-­‐year-­‐in-­‐the-­‐making music project from Grammy® Award winning recording artist David Pack and the five winery partners, who collaborated on two songs each along with contributions from legendary music guests. David & his winery partners like to say: “5 years 5 wineries 14 songs and way too much fun!”

Stellar guest stars include The Doors' Ray Manzarek, Bela Fleck, Alan Parsons, Todd Rundgren, David Benoit, Billy Dean, Jimmy Wayne, Larry Carlton, Doyle Dykes, Mindi Abair, Robert Schwartzman, Cage The Elephant's Lincoln Parish, Rick Braun and others. All songs, which include one of the final recordings of the late Ray Manzarek, were produced by Pack, written and recorded in Napa Valley beginning May 2009. Napa Crossroads will be officially released March 11 and available online at Amazon, iTunes, and other fine music retailers.
